When this option is enabled (the check box is selected), the result column REMARKS for the catalog functions SQLTables and SQLColumns, and the result column COLUMN_DEF for the catalog function SQLColumns, will have meaning for Oracle. This option is disabled by default, which returns SQL_NULL_DATA for the result columns COLUMN_DEF and REMARKS. Enabling this option reduces the performance of your queries.
